Walter Whitney

Walter Lloyd Whitney, 92, Silver Creek Rd. Town of Ripon, died Monday, October 10, 1994, at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born March 26, 1902, in the Town of Rosendale, Fond du Lac County, a son of Warren and Bertha Wollitz Whitney. On August 18, 1930, he married Myra Whiting, in Fond du Lac. He and his wife resided in the Town of Rosendale until 1933, when they moved to the rural Ripon area where thy farmed for over 50 years. He worked part time at the local Equity Co-op Livestock Association and served as a member of the Adams School Board for several years. Mr. Whitney was a member of the Immanuel Unite Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Merlin and his wife, Donna of Ripon; two daughters, Ora Jean Voskuil and her husband Merle of Waupun and Marlys Whitney of Ripon; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Glenn Whitney and his wife Lura of Ripon; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Iva Whiting.
Funeral Service will be held at the Immanuel United Methodist Church Wednesday at 2 pm. Reverend Howard Ott will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rosendale Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 until 8 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, and from 1 pm Wednesday until the hour of the service at the church.
