Wilbur B. Nehls, age 74, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 1984 at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
Wilbur was born on March 19, 1910 in Ripon, WI, the son of Frank and Minnie (Belau) Nehls. He graduated from Ripon High School and Ripon College, and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked for Wisconsin P&L in the service department for 39 years. On December 26, 1936 he married Dorothy Dunham in Milwaukee, WI. He was a member of Ripon Masonic Lodge, he played with the VFW band in Oshkosh as well as the Fond du Lac Military band, and was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church.
Wilbur is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a sister, Jane (Benjamin) Bishop of Ripon, WI; and several nieces and nephews. He as preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters.
Visitation for Wilbur will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 20, 1984 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Wilbur will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, September 21, 1984 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Reverend Virgil W. Nulton officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
