Wilfred "Bill" Ainsworth

Wilfred “Bill” J. Ainsworth, age 58, of Ripon, died Monday, February 16, 1998, at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan.

He was born November 25, 1939, in Flint, Michigan, a son of the late Wilfred L. and Josephine (Menns) Ainsworth. He graduated from Grand Blanc High School and attended Baker Business College in Flint, Michigan for 3 years. Bill then served in the U.S. Air Force for 7 years from July 1960 to January 1968, attaining the rank of E6. On April 30, 1962 he married the former Loretta DuCharme. Bill retired from air traffic control in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks and the P.A.A.C.E. Union.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta M.; I son, Scott (Sofia) Ainsworth of Fort Arthur, Texas; 2 daughters, Sandra Miller of Fairwater and Brenda (John) Williams of Brandon; 6 grandchildren, Charles, Ashley, Laurie, Katarina, Benjamin and Johnson; and I sister, Joy Bowers of Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracey.

Funeral service will be Thursday, February 19, 1998, at 4:30 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Father John A. Schmitz officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. lnurnment will take place at a later date. The family would appreciate memorials in his name to a children’s charity of one’s choice.
