Ella M. Wilke, age 89, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 1986 at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon.
Ella was born on May 8, 1896 in Rush Lake, WI, the daughter of Fred and Ida (Wollitz) Splittgerber. She attended Ripon High School and was a graduate of Green Lake County Normal in Berlin in 1914. She went on to be a rural Ripon school teacher, and lived in the Ripon area all her life. On October 30, 1918 she married Reinhardt Wilke. Ella was a member of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ, and was clerk of Maple Lawn School (Town of Green Lake) for many years.
Ella is survived by her son, Donald Wilke of Ripon; a daughter, Lois Wilke of Ripon; two grandsons, Mark and David; and a sister, Marie (Robert) Bradley of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ida Splittgerber; husband, Reinhardt Wilke; two brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation for Ella will be held from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 1986 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, WI.
Funeral services for Ella will be held at 8:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 1986 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow officiating. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.
