William Steven Baird, age 62, of Ripon, WI passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 1955 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI.
William was born in Evanston, IL on June 26, 1892, the son of Wesley and Katherine (Fitzgarold) Baird. On November 17, 1923 he married Minnie Splittgerber in Ripon. William was a farmer and has resided in Green Lake, Rush Lake, and the Town of Rosendale for 29 years.
William is survived by his wife, Minnie Baird of Ripon, WI; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Lehman of Ripon, WI; two sons, Lester and Floyd both of Ripon, WI; five grandchildren; step-mother, Clara Baird of Oshkosh, WI; a brother, Frank Baird of Oshkosh, WI; four sisters, Mrs. Paul Ehrenberg of Green Lake Center, WI, Mrs. John Krajock of Beloit, WI, Mrs. Harold Wisnefske of Larson, WI, Mrs. Wilson Nevel of Belvidere, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Katherine Baird; and two sisters.
Visitation for William will be held from 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 21, 1955 until 11:00 am on Saturday, April 23, 1955 at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon, and again from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 23, 1955 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Funeral service for William will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 23, 1955 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, with Reverend Carl Stubenvoll officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Ripon, WI.
