William P. Bertz, age 59, of Green Lake, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Ripon Medical Center.
William was born July 27, 1946, in Chicago, IL., the son of William L. and Dorothy (Swanson) Bertz. He graduated from High School in Chicago and then served his country in the United States Navy from 1966-1971, he was a Vietnam Veteran. On August 21, 1967 he married Linda Duffy in San Diego, CA. William enjoyed his career as a meat cutter for 36 years.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of Green Lake; 2 sons, William Bradley (Angela) Bertz of West Allis; Scott Michael Bertz of Clinton, MA.; granddaughter, Madalyn Bertz of West Allis; 2 sisters, Betty Fennema of Manteno, IL. and Carol (Patrick) Wilson of Lake Linden, MI. and 1 niece and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
A Time of Gathering: for William Bertz will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2006 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Dartford Cemetery, in the City of Green Lake.
