William E. Bier, age 74, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 1953, at Ripon Municipal Hospital.
William was born January 2, 1879, in Green Lake County, WI, the son of Christian and Wilhelmina (Werdin) Bier. He worked as a farmer all of his life. William marriet Bertha Schultz on September 26, 1901 in Ripon.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Retzlaff, Mrs. George Lindow and Mrs. Herman Roeder; two sons, Alfred and Arnold both of Ripon; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Wilson of Omro and Mrs. Augusta Sasada of Waukesha and one brother, Arthur Bier. He was preceded in death by his wife on July 8, 1947 and two sisters.
Friends may call on Monday, May 11, 1953, after 6:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for William will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 1953, at 2:00 pm at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon with The Reverend E.E. Schieler officiating. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
