William "Bill" Miller

William “Bill” Jerome Miller, age 84, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI.
Bill was born on November 27, 1926, at his home in the Town of Nepeuskun, the son of Robert and Marcella (Lukuski) Miller. He served our country in World War II in Okinawa and Jakyo Japan. Bill worked for Northwest Telephone Company in 1950, until his retirement in 1989. In 1980, he married Bernice Steinberg. He was a member of American Legion Post 43 in Ripon and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Bill enjoyed his gardening and his place in the country.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice of Ripon, WI; three step-children, Joann (Johann) Costello of Oshkosh, WI, Carol (David) Gray of Waupun, WI and Dennis (Susan) Steinberg of Oshkosh, WI; special nephew, Dennis (Brenda) Miller and several more nieces and nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, step-son, Michael Steinberg; one sister, Margaret Boles and three brothers, James, Allen and Leonard Miller.
Visitation for Bill Miller will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 10 – 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 530 Ruth St. Green Lake, WI 54941.
Mass of Christian Burial for Bill Miller will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake. Father Philip Krogman will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Ripon with Military Honors. Memorials may be given to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
