William J. Duffy, age 83, of Green Lake, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Markesan Resident Home, Markesan.
William was born in Lackawanna, NY, on January 27, 1927, the son of William F. and Claire (Halliman) Duffy. On August 27, 1945, he married Edna Taylor in Chicago, IL. He worked as an electrician for construction companies.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Edna Duffy of Green Lake; three children, Linda Bertz of Green Lake, William T. (Gerry) Duffy of Indiana, and Peggy (Pat) Newell of Indiana; five grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean (Gene) Racine of Green Lake; and two sisters-in-law, Heddy Duffy-Owens of Green Lake, and Fran Duffy of Illinois. William was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Per the families wishes there will be no funeral service for William J. Duffy.
