William A. Gransee, age 75, of Rosendale, WI, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 1954, on his 75th birthday at the home of his son, Orlo Gransee.
William was born September 28, 1879, in Germany, the son of Frank and Louise (Schmeck) Gransee. He married Ida Sommers on October 1, 1903 in Princeton. William worked as a farmer and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include three sons, Orlo of Rosendale, Gilbert of Ripon and Harley of Ripon; one brother, Ernest Gransee of Rosendale; two sisters, Mrs. Otto Strehlow of Rosendale and Mrs. Frank Warren of Ripon and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida who died on April 14, 1954.
Friends may call on Wednesday, September 29, 1954, after 6:00 pm at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for William will be held on Friday, October 1, 1954, at 2:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon with The Reverend Carl Stubenvoll officiating. Interment will take place at Rosendale Cemetery in the Village of Rosendale.
