William “Bill” H. Hadel, age 75, of Ripon, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2024 at his home, with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bill was born in Berlin, WI on March 6, 1949, son of Robert and Minnie (Boeck) Hadel. He attended Wautoma High School and on July 20, 1968 he married the love of his life, Diane Vetrone. Bill worked at Speed Queen in Ripon for nearly 50 years, as well as delivered medication for Ripon Drug. Bill enjoyed car shows, and loved working with his best friend and son, Shawn, on their Chevy trucks together. For 30 years he and Diane showed Siberian Huskies in dog shows and made numerous friends within the dog community. Diane provided in-home day care for many wonderful children including her grandchildren, and Bill enjoyed those children as much as she did. Most of all Bill cherished his time with his family and was always very involved with all his children’s activities as they grew up and throughout their adult life.
Bill is survived by his wife, Diane Hadel; children, Billie (Wayne) Lang of Markesan, WI, Bobbie Hadel of Berlin, WI, Shawn (Heather) Hadel of Ripon, WI; grandchildren, Landrie, Laramie, and Ridge Lang, Brett Altwies, Hunter Gaastra, Sadie and Halle Hadel; and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose (Gene) Fink, Roberta (Jim) Clark, Anita (Randy) Erdmann; brother, John (Julie) Hadel; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Minnie Hadel.
Per Bill’s wishes no funeral services will be held.
