William (Bill) Fredrick Hammerling, age 83, of Crivitz, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2011.
William was born on November 17, 1928, to Fred and Alvina (Goldsmith) Hammerling in Ripon. He was a Ripon High School graduate, and on October 20, 1951, he married Pauline Handshy. William worked at Ripon Speed Queen. He was a member of the Ripon Volunteer Fire Department from 1962 through 1985, the Speed Queen Retirees, Former Lions Member, and a member of the Fond du Lac Eagles.
Survivors include, his wife of 60 years, Pauline; son, Larry of Ripon, daughter Mary (Don) Gable of Stoughton; grandson Ryan Gable, and granddaughter, Jennifer Gable of Stoughton; sister, Irma Dufty of Ripon. William was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marion Boettcher; and an infant son, Robert Eugene.
Visitation for William Fredrick Hammerling will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011, from 11-2, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon.
Funeral services for William Fredrick Hammerling will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011, at 2 pm, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established.
