William F. Hielke, age 88, formerly of rural Ripon, died Tuesday morning, December 18, 2001, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
He was born May 7, 1913, in the Town of Green Lake, A son to William and Ida (Weiss) Hielke, Sr. He attended school in Markesan. On December 12, 1936, he married Margaret Voeltner. For most of his life, he had been a farmer. Mr. Hielke was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Pickett and was past church president and past church council president. He was a member of the Pickett Lions and was past supervisor for the Town of Rosendale for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Ripon; two sons, Ronald (Carole) Hielke of Ripon and David (Joan) Hielke of Pickett; one daughter, Donna Hoch of Ripon; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters, Lillian Schneider of Ripon, Clare Flegel of Milwaukee and Elda (Ben) Bloch of Ripon. His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral service for Mr. William F. Hielke will be held Friday, December 21, 2001, at 11 am at Grace Lutheran Church, Pickett with Reverend Russell Kloehn officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home and again on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Grace Lutheran Church Handicap Fund and the Lions Foundation.
