William Kelm

William Herbert Kelm, age 76, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 1991, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 1, 1915, in the Town of St. Marie, Green Lake County the son of Herman and Emma (Schimmel) Kelm. He was married to Yvonne Hoeft on October 17, 1942 by Pastor Chet Henson of United Methodist Church in Brownwood, Texas. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon and was confirmed April 27, 1930 by The Reverend Hartwig of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Montello.

Mr. Kelm was educated at Buffalo in Montello. He was a farmer and lived near Germania for 40 years. He has resided in Ripon since 1982.

He was a member of Krause-Gley-Crane Post 426 of Neshkoro and served on the board of directors for many years of both the Fox River Co-op of Montello and the Wild Rose Creamery. He was a veteran having served in field artillery in World War II.

Survivors include his wife, one son, The Reverend Dale Kelm of Ripon, two sisters: Frieda Wagener of Fond du Lac and Ruth Hornyak of Granada Hills, CA, one brother, Richard Kelm of Montello, his mother-in-law, Ester Hoeft of Ripon; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Harry and Clarence, and one sister, Irma.

Funeral Services for William Kelm will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 1991 at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon with The Reverend Robert LeCount and Jeff Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Princeton City Cemetery in Princeton.

Friends may call Sunday, December 29, 1991 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at the church. A memorial has been established for Immanuel United Methodist Church of Ripon.
