William L. Kennedy, age 91, of Ripon, WI, passed away on January 14, 1987, at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon.
William was born April 18, 1895, in Ripon, WI, the son of John and Anna (Guenther) Kennedy. He served our country in the United States Army in WWI. He married Frieda Weckwerth on August 13, 1922 until her passing on May 16, 1979. William worked as a farmer and lived in the Ripon area all of his life. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ and of the American Legion.
Survivors include one son, Alan Kennedy of Ripon; one daughter, Marian (Donald) Novitske of Ripon; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and one sister, Elsie Koehler of Ripon. William was preceded in death by his wife, one son and one brother.
Visitation for William will be held on Friday, January 16, 1987, from 4 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with Legion Service starting at 7:45 pm.
Funeral Service for William will be held on Saturday, January 17, 1987, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon with Reverend Harley Tretow officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
