William Liefke

William Elmer Liefke, 89, of Ripon, died February 11, 1995, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon.

He was born August 15, 1905, a son to the late Gustav and Louise Schwandt Liefke. On September 27, 1947, he married Lucille Lentz, and she passed away on July 2, 1983. Bill was educated in Fairwater. In addition to farming, Bill also worked at Ripon Foods for 37 years. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ, Ripon, where he also served as an Usher.

Survivors include 1 brother, Elmer (Mildred) Liefke of Ripon, nieces and nephew; his wife, Lucille preceded him in death along with 1 brother and 1 sister.

Private funeral services for William Liefke will be held Thursday, February 16 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. The Rev. James D. Mohr will officiate and interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions will be given to Our Saviour’s UCC.
