William J. Mason, 81, of 640 S. Grove St., Ripon, died Wednesday, June 29, 1988, at his home.
He was born December 5, 1906, in St. Paul, MN, the son of Will D. and Mary Toomey Mason. On November 21, 1947, he married Eleanor Wheeler.
Mr. Mason was educated in Plymouth. He was former owner of Vogue Cleaners in Ripon and had lived in Ripon the last 38 years. He was a member of Noon Kiwanis and Wisconsin Conservation Congress; also Past President of Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife; one son, John of Whitefish Bay; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Rotter of Milwaukee and Mrs. Kathy Barwatt of Houston, TX; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Mason of Plymouth and one sister, Genevieve McHose of Hemet, CA.
Friends may call from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, July 1, 1988, at the funeral home. The Reverend Robert B. LeCount will officiate. Inurnment will be in Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon.
