William F. Meehan, age 87, of Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Fountain View Care Center in Ripon.
William was born on June 6, 1923, in Madison, WI, the son of Harry and Mary Elizabeth (Lane) Meehan. He graduated from Marquette High School in Milwaukee and served our country in the Marines during WWII. On December 4, 1948, William married Rosalind Lienhard in Waupun, WI. William worked as a salesman and enjoyed fishing, boating, visiting friends, family gatherings and birthday parties.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalind of 61 years; sons, Timothy, Daniel (Pam), Thomas (Heather) and Sean; daughters, Mary (Mike) Koenigsberger, Betty (Frank) Sixt and Kathy (Lester) Hilscher; grandchildren, Nicki Zuber, Sara Hilscher, Jason Koenigsberger, James (Carrie) Koenigsberger, Amy (Scott) Koenigsberger, Kurt Meehan, Russell (Amy) Meehan, Tanner Meehan, Ryan (Katie) Sixt and Ashley Sixt; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Garrett, Grayson, Adam and Finley; and sister, Catherine (Robert) Gordon. William was preceded in death by his parents; son, Patrick; two grandsons, Brian Meehan and Aaron Sixt; one sister, Betty Justin.
Visitation for William Meehan will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2010, from 4 – 5:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr. Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for William Meehan will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at 5:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Father John Schmitz will officiate. Memorials may be given to Community Thrift Store & Food, 109 Watson St. Ripon, WI 54971.
