William Miller

October 4, 1906 — April 10, 2001

William Robert Miller, age 94, formerly of Silver Creek Manor in Ripon, died Tuesday morning, April 10, 2001, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon after a short stay.

He was born October 4, 1906, in Ripon, a son to Louis and Amelia (Leibe) Miller. He graduated from Ripon High School. On June 30, 1934, he married Florence Meinke. William worked as a printing department supervisor at Admanco for 44 years. Mr. Miller was a member of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ, was on the church council for 2 terms, council president for 1 term, and was in the Dartball League of the church. Bill belonged to the Odd Fellow Lodge #144 of Ripon and was a member of the 25-Year Club at Admanco.

Survivors include his wife, Florence Miller of Ripon; sisters-in-law, Irma (late Herbert) Meinke and Dorothy (late Karl) Meinke, both of Ripon; and nieces and nephews, Warren (Florence) Flagel of Markesan, Betty (late John) Bumby of Ripon and Marian (George) Bauer of North Fond du Lac, David (Janet) Meinke of FL and John Meinke of Princeton. He is further survived by many great nieces and nephews and many good friends. His parents and an infant son preceded him in death.

Funeral service for William R. Miller will be 11 am Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ with the Reverends Rebecca A. Johnston and Harley C.W. Tretow officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials to Hospice/Hope in Berlin.
