William Behling Murphy, age 61, of Milwaukee, WI, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 1985, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
William was born May 18, 1924, in Janesville, WI, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Murphy. He was a graduate of Yale University in 1945. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII. William married Patricia Parker on September 11, 1948. He was Senior Vice-President and Director of Robert Baird Company of Milwaukee.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Parker Murphy; three daughters, Nancy (Jeffery) White of Santa Rosa, CA, Sarah Murphy of Denver, CO and Annie (Mark) Richard-Fogg of San Francisco, CA; one son, Bruce Murphy of Milwaukee, WI, three grandchildren; one brother, David Murphy of Cary, IL; one sister, Elizabeth Henrichs of Boulder Junction, WI and his mother, Elizabeth Murphy.
Private Service for William Murphy will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 1985, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ripon with Reverend Robert J.C. Brown officiating. Memorials may be directed to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Ripon College and Goodwill Industries.
