William E. Schaetzka, age 72, of Ripon, WI, passed away on December 31, 1986, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
William was born on December 24, 1914, in Abbotsford, WI, the son of Louis and Angeline (Parks) Schaetzka. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII. William married Ruth Peterson on November 7, 1940 in Friendship. He worked as an assembly man at Speed Queen in Ripon. William was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; one son, Dennis of Pickett; three daughters, Sharon (Meilahn) Standke of Ripon, Trudith (David) Frei of Ripon and Donna Munsey of Ripon; 11 grandchildren, two brothers, Robert and Frank both of Oxford and six sisters, Mrs. Arthur Harp of Milwaukee, Mrs. Glen Maxwell of Marshfield, Mrs. Harry Christenson of Yuma, Arizona, Mrs. Alice Bartl of Marshfield, WI, Mrs. Lillian Langer of Friendship, WI and Mrs. Violet Brown of Montello.
Visitation for William will be held on Saturday, January 3, 1986, from 12 – 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for William will be held on Saturday, January 3, 1986, at 2:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home with Reverend James Mohr officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
