William Ziegler

William E. Ziegler, 65, of W13106 Olden Road, Ripon died May 6, 1995 while fishing.

He was born July 19, 1929 in Sparta, a son of the late William and Frances Schaller Ziegler. After graduating from Sparta High School, Bill served in the Wisconsin National Guard. He was a member of St. Patricks Church in Ripon, Past President and member of Ripon Lions Club, Little League Baseball coach for many years. On Sept. 23, 1950 he married LaVina Vieth and has lived in Ripon the past 34 years.
Bill was manager of the Chaseburg Cooperative for 8 years, and the manager of the Ripon Cooperative for 29 years. Bill was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife LaVina, Robert (Susie)Ziegler of Big Creek, CA , Dennis(Ida) Ziegler of Ripon,Edward Ziegler of Green Lake, Deborah(Dennis) Washkoviak of Ripon, Jean (Tom) Reinsch of Ripon, eight grandchildren, Scott, Julie, Steven,Neil, Chad, Mackenzie Ziegler, Jessie WashkoviaK, Kelli Reinsch. One brother Carroll(Eleanor)Ziegler of Sparta, and one sister, Virginia (Fred) Cassel of Prairie du Chien.

Mr. Ziegler is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Kenneth and Milburn Ziegler and one sister Fern Weiss.

Friends may call Monday May 8, from 4 to 7:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with a Rosary to be held at 7:30 pm. The funeral service will be on Tues. May 9, at 10 am, at St. Patrick Church in Ripon. Interment will be at the St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Ripon. Father John A. Schmitz will officiate.
