Willis Wagner

Willis F. Wagner, 72, of Ripon, died Monday, March 11, 1996, at Ripon Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Fern, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. He was born August 24, 1923, in Ripon, a son of the late Will jam and Ida Lehman Wagner. After graduating from Ripon High School, he attended Vocational School in Fond du Lac. Will served in the U. S. Army from March 1943 to March 1946 in the Southeast Pacific in the 595th Signal Aircraft Warning Battalion. He then returned to his job at Speed Queen in Ripon where he had been a tool and die maker prior to the war. He retired in 1985 after having served as Union Officer for many years and a director of the Credit Union. On June 8, 1947, he married the former Fern Ninneman. Willis was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, and was a member of the American Legion Post #43 and the VFW Post #5278.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 14, 1996, from 10 until 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Eric Burnard officiating. Inurnment will be in Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon.
