Winnifred Diedrich, age 81, of Ripon, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 1987, at Parkview Nursing Home.
Winnifred was born on August 25, 1906, in Berlin, the daughter of Jens and Elsa (Lund) Christensen. She graduated from Berlin High School and went onto University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Winnifred married Carl Diedrich, on August 10, 1929. She taught school in Berlin and Waukesha WI. Winnifred was a member of Ripon Congregational Church, Ripon Educational Club, the Republican Women’s Club, Eastern Star, Red Cross Blood Mobile, Ripon Garden Club and an Honorary of DELTA Phi Sigma, and member of the Girl Scout Council.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; daughter, Carol Cooley of Decatur, IL; son, John of Ripon; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Winnifred is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, 4 sisters, and her two infant sons.
Visitation for Winnifred will be held from 6-8:00 pm, on Monday, September 26, 1987, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Winnifred will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 27, 1987, at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with Reverend Carl Stubenvoll officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon. Memorials may be given to the Ripon Library.
