Woodrow Stellmacher

December 24, 1912 — March 25, 1998

Woodrow John Stellmacher, 85, longtime resident of Ripon, died March 25, 1998, at Parkview Care Center, Ripon where he has lived the past 7 years.

He was born December 24, 1912, in the Town of Metomen, the son of
George and Jessie (Sattler) Stellmacher. He received his education in the Town of Metomen. On March 7, 1937, he married the former Everdine Volimer. Woodrow worked at Speed Queen in Ripon for 30 years and Barten Industries in West Bend until his retirement. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.

He is survived by a son, Harwood “Howie” (Mae) Steilmacher of Baraboo; 4 grandsons, John (Jeanna) Steilmacher of Jefferson, Brian (Crea) Stellmacher of Baraboo, Robert (Beth) Stelimacher of Bolingbrook, IL and Kenneth (Tracy)Steilmacher of Reno, NV; and 3 great-grandchildren, Michael and Bailey of Jefferson and Grant of Baraboo. He is further survived by 4 sisters, Alice Lemiesz of Ripon, Dorothy (Harold) Hill of Waukesha, Wilma Kohlhardt of Middleton and Everdeen Zuehls of Montello; 2 brothers, Willard (Dorothy)Stellmacher and Floyd Stelimacher, of Ripon; sister-in-law, Dolly (Mace) Miller of Green Lake; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Everdine and 5 brothers, Alton, Arland, Canton, Norman and Menwin.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 30, 1998, at 1:00 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with The Reverend Paul Holte officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 11:30 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. A Memorial has been established.
