Yvonne M. Kelm, age 84, formerly of Ripon, and currently of Manor Care, 465 S. National Ave., Fond du Lac, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2009.
She was born on September 8, 1924, in the Town of Sheilds, Marquette County, the daughter of Arthur and Esther (Beyer) Hoeft. Yvonne graduated from Princeton High School, and worked at Berlin Glove. On October 17, 1942, she was married to William Kelm by Pastor Chet Hansen of the United Methodist Church in Brumwood, Texas. They lived and farmed near Germania, WI, for forty years before moving to Ripon in 1982. Yvonne was employed in the housekeeping department at the A.B.A., retiring in 1993. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon, also the Friendship Circle, and a Charter Member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 426, where she held numerous offices including President and Chaplin.
Survivors include cousin, Lavern Vander Sande of Neshkoro; and nieces, Virginia Wagener of Fond du Lac, Angeline Nowland of Oshkosh, Rose Chadwick of Arkansas, Florence Heiner of Wyoming, and Sandra Krecioch; nephew Robert Kelm of Antigo, WI; & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William, and one son, the Reverend Dale A. Kelm.
Visitation for Yvonne M. Kelm will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009, from 10-11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, with the Reverend Paul W. Nulton Officiating. Interment will be in the Princeton City Cemetery, Princeton. A memorial has been established.
